MPCA Seeks Stakeholder input on SRV Related Documents
The MPCA is seeking stakeholder input regarding the Remediation Division’s draft
· “Property Use Guidance”
· “Soil Investigation Guidance”
· “Range of Risks Spreadsheet”
Several other previously released draft soil reference value (SRV) related guidance are also being re-released as drafts with minor revisions including
· “Soil Reference Value Technical Support Document”
· “Background Threshold Value Evaluation”
· “SRV Spreadsheet”
· “SRV Spreadsheet – Site Specific”
These documents can be found on the MPCA Remediation Division's website under the “MPCA seeks stakeholder input on revised SRV related documents” accordion: http://www.pca.state.mn.us/enzq83d.
Note: Some of the SRVs did change due to a change in the definition of a VOC based on EPA’s recommendation. This revision was completed to ensure we were both consistent with EPA and with our intrusion screening values (ISVs) used to investigate vapor intrusion sites. Background threshold values (BTVs) for arsenic and BaP have not changed. All changes are shown on the “Comparisons” tab in the SRV Spreadsheet.
Please submit your input to SRVcomments.PCA@state.mn.us by December 2.
MPCA will be holding a stakeholder meeting on October 31. Another GovDelivery will be sent with more information regarding this meeting closer to that time.
